Biography
Kirk J. Angel received his BA in philosophy
from the University of North Carolina at
Asheville. He graduated from UNCA with
honors and received recognition as a
University Scholar and Distinction in
Philosophy. Mr. Angel received a MA in
philosophy and a JD (law degree) with a
concentration in business transactions from
the University of Tennessee. While in law
school at UT, Mr. Angel received 3 academic
excellence awards.
After law school, Mr. Angel worked for a
number of years as a trial lawyer in private
practice in Knoxville, Tennessee where he
focused primarily on employment law, personal
injury and workers compensation litigation. Mr.
Angel returned to North Carolina and served
for 3 years as a Trial Attorney for the Charlotte
District Office of the US Equal Employment
Opportunity Commission.
Mr. Angel is admitted to practice law in the
following jurisdictions:
The State of North Carolina
The State of Tennessee
Mr. Angel is a North Carolina Dispute
Resolution Commission Certified Superior
Court Mediator. He is also a certified workers’
compensation mediator for the North Carolina
Industrial Commission. Mr. Angel is an
approved mediator for the US District Court for
the Eastern District of Tennessee, and the US
District Court for the Western District of North
Carolina.

Mr. Angel is also a Senior Faculty

to graduate Human Resource,
Management and Project
Management students.
Mr. Angel has also taught graduate
Business Ethics at Wingate
University.
