EEOC dismisses federal employee’s race and sex based pay claim. The complainant worked as a Bank Examiner with the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency.

He filed an EEO complaint alleging race and sex discrimination. that his white and female counterparts were paid a significantly higher salary. The EEOC determined that the pay discrepancy reflected the complainant’s prior experience in the field compared to his counterparts. They dismissed the claim, holding that the complainant failed to establish that the discrepancy was the result of his race or sex. The Office of Federal Operations affirmed.
