Federal employee wins EEOC appeal of Final Agency Decision. Complainant was an employee of the VA. She alleged sex discrimination and other claims. The VA dismissed all of her claims in its Final Agency Decision. On appeal, the EEOC’s OFO found that Complainant had established sex discrimination and ordered the Agency to pay two years of back pay, liquidated damages and compensatory damages (emotional distress). The OFO remanded to the Agency to gather information as to the compensatory damages remedy.
