The North Carolina Office of Administrative Hearings (OAH) is an a very important agency that few people know much about. We represent individuals, organizations and businesses in proceedings before the OAH.
The OAH has two major divisions that we work with. First, the hearings division has jurisdiction to hear certain type of claims including personnel matter for many state employees and some local employees. The OAH also has jurisdiction to hear certain licensing claims. Those including for example hearing North Carolina Healthcare Registry cases. Second, the Civil Rights Division has jurisdiction to accept and investigate discrimination or EEO claims filed by state employees. This jurisdiction is welded in conjunction with the federal EEOC and they work together under a work-sharing agreement.
If you are facing a hearing or investigation before the OAH, please consider reaching out to our office. https://theangellawfirm.com/oah-facts
